Aloeswood trees have sweet-smelling flowers and are native to Northern India, Laos, Cambodia, Burma, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam. When an Aloes tree has fallen (from natural causes), a dark resin forms within its heartwood. This resin forms an immune response, and the heartwood is then harvested for incense and medicinal uses. The older the tree, the better the quality, and the more expensive the wood.

Wild Laos Oud is a gentle, refined expression of nature’s calm side. It opens with a clean, airy soapiness ( খুব হালকা স্নিগ্ধ সাবানের মতো), recalling white musk or green tea soap—lighter and fresher than Brunei oud, like cool morning air after rain.
As it settles, a soft woody sweetness appears with powdery floral hints of jasmine leaf or lily. There is no smoke or spice, only the quiet warmth of polished wood.
A faint animalic undertone lends natural depth, while the dry-down reveals a mild musk–amber base, serene and faintly resinous.
Not a traditional attar, it is soapy, subtle, and contemplative, best enjoyed solo on a cold wrist, where its delicate wild beauty can unfold. This is not like traditional Indian Oud, it has different vibe. It lasts long if applied on cloth.
